International Admissions
Anthem Prep welcomes international students seeking a U.S. high school diploma and issues I-20 visas (F-1) for eligible students. Our diverse student community has included students from Africa, Australia, China, England, Korea, Japan, Spain, Vietnam, and more.

International Students at Anthem Prep
Commitment
International students are expected to commit to a minimum of two years (unless entering as a senior). Students joining athletic teams are expected to remain through their high school career unless they are seniors.
Grades 6-12Living Arrangements
International students may live with relatives or family friends, or request assistance from Anthem in securing a host family. Host families typically charge $700–$1,000 per month and provide a private room, meals, and transportation to and from school and activities.

Anthem Prep operates under Continuous Enrollment. Students remain enrolled each year unless formally withdrawn in the spring.
Grades 8-12Life Beyond High School
Anthem Prep supports international students in preparing for college and life after graduation, including guidance through the U.S. college admissions process, TOEFL preparation, academic planning, and personalized counseling to help students achieve their post-secondary goals.
Application Process
Students interested in attending Anthem Prep should complete the following steps:

Complete the application and pay the $200 non-refundable fee.

Schedule a virtual interview (or in-person if local) to assess English proficiency and discuss school expectations.

Upon acceptance, you will receive an email, instructing you to create an account in our Parent Portal and complete additional enrollment forms.

Once the application is processed, you will receive a prompt to sign up for an account on our parent portal (different from the application) account, and then complete the additional enrollment forms.

The I-20 will be issued after acceptance and completion of required steps.

If needed, Anthem Prep will assist in coordinating host family placement.
International Admissions FAQs

To qualify for an F-1 visa, you must:
Be accepted to a full-time academic program
Attend a school approved by U.S. Immigration (SEVP-certified)
Show proof of sufficient financial support
Maintain a permanent residence outside the United States

Yes. You may travel and return as long as your F-1 visa is valid and your absence is less than five months. Your I-20 must be signed by the Anthem Prep Director before leaving the U.S.

Yes, after the two year enrollment commitment is completed. You must notify the Director at least 30 days before transferring. Your SEVIS record will be transferred once all financial obligations are met. Remember: International students are expected to commit to a minimum of two years at Anthem Prep (unless entering as a senior).

Yes. U.S. immigration regulations require F-1 students to maintain full-time enrollment during the academic year.

F-1 students are not permitted to work while in high school. Work authorization is limited and typically applies only at the college level. Always consult your Designated School Official (DSO) before seeking employment.

You may remain in the U.S. as long as you maintain full-time student status (“duration of status”). After completing your program, you have 60 days to depart the country or transfer your F-1 to an approved college or university.

Families who choose not to return must log into the school management system during the January–February window and select the “opt-out” option.

Some English support is available; however, students are expected to enter with adequate English skills to participate fully in college-preparatory coursework.

Yes. Qualified students may enroll in Advanced Placement (AP) and concurrent college courses when academically prepared.

Grades are issued on a standard U.S. grading scale and contribute to a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA), which is used for college admissions.

Yes. Anthem provides college counseling, transcript preparation, and guidance through the U.S. admissions process, including TOEFL preparation support.

Yes. International students may participate in athletics, subject to eligibility requirements and team commitment expectations.
