HISTORY

  • Founded in January 2005, Anthem Preparatory School began in a former elementary school building in South Jordan, Utah, with five teachers and fewer than 50 students. Over the years, the school has evolved significantly through strategic growth in location, curriculum, and leadership. Today, Anthem Preparatory School celebrates more than 20 years of educating exceptional students, supporting award-winning athletic and dance programs, and providing meaningful opportunities for character development.

ACCREDITATION

  • Anthem Preparatory School is fully accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) of Cognia (formerly AdvancED) for pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Accreditation means that the school must annually meet certain standards of quality expected of all NWAC private and public schools.

MEMBERSHIP

  • Anthem Prep is a member of The College Board, National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, and the National Association of Student Councils.

RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION

  • Anthem Preparatory School is a traditional Christian school. Our educational program is rooted in Christian values and emphasizes character development, moral leadership, and respect for others. While our curriculum reflects a Christian worldview, we welcome students and families from a variety of faith backgrounds who value a values-based education.

ACADEMIC PROGRAM

  • Anthem Preparatory School delivers a challenging academic experience beginning in Prep through 8th grade and continuing with a robust college-preparatory liberal arts curriculum. Students benefit from Honors courses, 11 Advanced Placement (AP) options, early college classes, and well-rounded opportunities in fine arts, performing arts, and athletics.

  • 18% of the student body is African-American, Hispanic, Asian, Middle-Eastern or Multiracial.

  • Nearly 58% of students enrolled received financial aid in 2020-21.

GRADUATES

  • Anthem Preparatory School maintains a 100% graduation rate. Our graduates go on to pursue higher education at outstanding colleges and universities. Ninety-two percent of Anthem Prep graduates enroll in ranked colleges or universities, and 100% of our international graduates continue their education at ranked institutions.

DRESS CODE

  • Anthem Preparatory School requires a school uniform for all students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. The uniform promotes a focused learning environment by minimizing distractions related to fashion and social appearance. Our dress code emphasizes modesty, uniformity, and professionalism, supporting a culture centered on academic excellence.

TRANSPORTATION

  • Anthem Prep does not provide busing. Each summer an email is sent to families to assist in compiling a carpool spreadsheet. Many of our families are able to arrange carpools based on common locations. Some students also utilize public transportation.

  • Drop off and pick up occur daily. Drop-off starts at 8:00 am and ends at 8:30 am for all grades. Pick-up starts at 2:45 pm for students in preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade and starts at 3:00 for all students 2nd through 12th. EXTENDED DAY

  • Grades/Eligibility: Creative and caring supervision for children after the regular school day is referred to as our extended care program. It is available for children in pre-kindergarten through grade five. All lower school students left at school after 3:30 pm must attend the extended care program.

  • After-School Coverage: Available from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

  • Fees/Cost: Parents are billed by the month, at a fee of $20 per day per student, for regular or occasional use of the program.

  • Before School: Before-school coverage is not available.

  • Holidays: After-school coverage is not available on holidays (Halloween, Valentine’s, etc), parent-teacher conferences, or other special event days as noted on the annual calendar.

  • Teacher Prep Days: Full Friday care is offered on teacher preparation days from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with a fee of $60 per day per student.

  • Fines: Upper school students left after 5:30 pm will result in a fine on your account.

PRESCHOOL OPTIONS

  • The full-day program runs from Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The program covers the core studies of math, phonics, circle time, and basic singing; and allows for additional studies in science, history, art, physical education, and Spanish. Students applying for pre-kindergarten must be potty trained.

KINDERGARTEN

  • The kindergarten program at Anthem Prep is full day. Students participate in phonics, math, history, science, music, art, computers, Spanish, and physical education. Students applying for kindergarten must be five by December 1 of the kindergarten school year.

  • We know that an Anthem Prep education can represent a significant financial investment for a family. Our school offers several payment plans to help families manage tuition throughout the year. Financial Aid programs include the Utah Fits All Scholarship, the Carson Smith Opportunity Scholarship, and the financial need scholarship (FAST).
